A Dogs Life: The Afternoon Visit

For those of you that don’t know me, we live on a farm. I tend to leave my doors open so our pups can come and go as they please. because of this there have been several occasions where I find a neighbor’s dog in my kitchen. Yup, they appear out of nowhere excitingly wanting to say “hi” and looking to play with our guys.

Then I see this story on Facebook.  I got a kick out of it, so here it is for you to enjoy!

The Afternoon Visit

An older tired looking dog wandered into my yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, and I gave him a few pats on his head. He then followed me into my house slowly walked down the hall and curled up to fall asleep. An hour later he went to the door, and I let him out.

The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for an hour. This continued on and off for several weeks. Curious I pinned this note to his collar:

The next day he arrived for his nap with this comment added:
